Popular entertainment program of songs and skits for soldiers, edited by Joseph Arie (Pepo) and directed by Elimelech Ram.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The beginning of the program was at Noah's Box, Tel Aviv, during World War II, for the benefit of Allied soldiers. <\/span>After the war the place served as officers of His Majesty's troops. <\/span>When the state was founded, the place was given to IDF soldiers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In the beginning, the program was accompanied by the Air Force Orchestra conducted by Major Erich Teich (with permanent singer Freddie Dora) and only later came the orchestras of Roman Messing and Isaac Graziani. <\/span>The program aired on "Life" every Tuesday at 7:45 pm from the club at 91 Hayarkon Street, Tel Aviv in collaboration with the Soldier's Committee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The program was recorded in a hall with 500 seats. <\/span>The tickets were immediately hijacked and another 200 "company" always pushed in with scandals. <\/span>The CC could not take over the crowd. <\/span>Once a band of paratroopers arrived and found the door closed – and broke it in … The studio immediately activated a drama cover film – and the program opened in just 6 minutes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In June 1959, the Entertainment Club was purchased to establish another wing of the Dan hotel, which is located next door.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

For three decades, one prominent comic duo starred in the Jewish world, transcending all other duo and ensembles – Shimon Dzigan and Israel Schumacher. <\/span>Fumi has written many satirical skits for this comic duo.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Their story is not only about the artistic and entertainment world they took part in, but also the historical story of the Jewish people in the 20th century. <\/span>Their repertoire included dozens of Yiddish plays (some in Hebrew as well), and they sparked cultural changes in the European Jewish world and in the young state of Israel, as no cultural duo did before them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The idea of \u200b\u200bthe comic duo was almost always based on two personalities who are similar in age and gender – but radically different from each other. <\/span>Thus Dejigan and Schumacher put on shows where Schumacher was always the serious, considerate and educated figure while Dejigan embodied the anarchist figure, of low intelligence and usually also rude. <\/span>The comic effect was created as a result of the differences between the two in the show, and was usually based on Schumacher's anger that Dejigan does not act as expected in a civilized society<\/span><\/span><\/p>

True comic \/ tragic story<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
